- It is well known that this column with its movies, images and writings are stirred by a passion for WSM promotion, rather than a passion to make money.
But there comes a time when one needs to stop borrowing and spending beyond one’s income and means. That time has now arrived!
WSM spends its income on:
a) Payment to film editor/studio manager
b) Paying down debt
c) Cash for new shoots
d) Paying Custard Couple
e) Digitising colour slides
When you struggle to meet the requirements for even items a) and b), then you know change is imperative. And things are still getting worse as I have just had to put in £330 to repay debt……which means one less shoot between now and the end of the year.
Is this what you all want?
So we are now going to make a change.
We will not be increasing any Download prices.
But we have looked closely at our Subscription pricing.
No, WSM will not die, but if improved income does not come, there will be no more Mike Ellison with his weekly updates.
See no.2 below for our revised Subscription proposals.
2. On 13th October 2017 we will be changing our Subscriptions policy.
We intend to leave the charges for the 3 month and 6 month Subscriptions as they are at present.
The monthly cost for 3 and 6 month Subs will always be lower than a single monthly Subscription.
The major change will come with the MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION.
At present the monthly Subs are:

- With declining income how can WSM survive?
Quite easily, as there is an equation to be struck.
If you decide not to buy our downloads or subscribe to our site, that is down to you and reflects on the content, quality and size of our new movies.
One thing that does not come into it is price as we are ultra competitive!
And the equation simply expressed means no spare income equals no new sets!
So there is no mystery as to why I have not shot a single outdoor set during 2017…….no cash!
We would love to post a new movie each week, but no chance when I currently cannot cover a) and b) as defined in number 1 above.
So our system is self regulating.
We are most unlikely to post a ‘blank week’ with nothing that is new, as we hold dozens and dozens of unseen image sets.
It is up to you people to decide whether WSM will push on or start to wither!
