Today is WSM’s Birthday!
WSM celebrates 39 years of continuous trading
We are the oldest WAM business in the world!
Today we have something entirely different!
On our Birthdays we normally write about some wonderful movies, image sets or models.
But this year we go back to look at our initial website by viewing part of the WSM website update of 28th November 2001.
Then we will move forward 10 years to see the website as at 25th November 2011.
So who influenced WSM to start our own website?
Some may think it was Bill Shipton of ‘Splosh’ fame.
But not so.
Bill always struggled with the new technology but he was a brilliant writer and ideas man.
The reality was that Rob Blaine had convinced me in the late 90’s that websites were the only way forward.
Rob Blaine was the greatest American WAM man of the 20th Century.
If you go to our Home Page at https://www.wsmprod.com nestled at the top of the page we have ‘Tributes’. Clicking that brings up a few words about Rob plus a continuing link to his wonderful work.
Our first website stands out as somewhat eccentric.
As I worked full time it was developed through an agency.
So let us look at the website as at 28th November 2001.

We commence with an Introductory page.
Where else do you see a button to press to enter?
But a classic case of an Agency not really understanding their subject.
For what does that opening image convey?
Certainly nothing to do with WAM.
The Home Page summed up the content in few words.
The site was split between Videos and Images, but as it was very early days for videos, we only had 9 major videos now listed under ‘Downloads – Online Store’ – Digital Downloads – VINTAGE FILMS. The Image Library was yet to be built and only totalled just over 1500 images.
So a massive difference as our current movie and image files contain:
331 movies on the Subscription site
25 new Download WSM Movies
81 Download XXX movies
56,465 images in 510 sets on the Subscription site
4,581 images accompanying the 25 Download WSM Movies
8,215 images accompanying the 81 Download XXX movies
Our History Page describes the many types of action to produce the movies and images.
Our early video filming is described.
We also state WSM’s interest in boy/girl relationships involving WSM.
This has now been so admirably fulfilled by Custard Couple with their movies and images.
Finally, we confirm our meaning of WSM.
Our Mission Statement defined this new venture.
We stated our purpose and what range of topics WSM would cover.
Our Statement, written in the early 80’s still holds true today.
Our Website is divided into Videos and Images.
The Video Downloads page gives the details on the 9 movie and image downloads offered.
One thing WSM have always done is to show a video taster snippet from each movie and often some sample images.
One thing WSM has become renowned for is the Image Collection.
This was a statement of intent that WSM would continue to build the Image library.

The Image Collection page did provide a link for the details and samples of many images.

Yes, our ‘Contact’ details at the top right of our current Home Page gives both an email address and phone number.
Our final page from the website of 28th November 2001 covers What’s New.
This extols the latest video which was WSM 9 (now listed under ‘Downloads – Online Store’ – Digital Downloads – VINTAGE FILMS).
And what did we have up our sleeves?
It was the alternate XXX version of WSM 9.
I am mystified about the Images.
Why we are stating what March will bring (as it is the end of November) quite escapes me.
This is the first time we have looked back at our Website.
What was there in 2001 is radically different from now.
Over time websites do have to evolve.
So when we jump forward 10 years we can see the basis of design for our current website.

We commence with the Home Page.
We see some remarkable progress in the 10 years as the number of movies offered has grown to 132 plus there are 211 image sets.
Unlike other websites we do not discard earlier movies or image sets.
Probably the most interesting part of the 2011 website is ABOUT US.
But it is necessary to split this into 3 sections:
Part 1 is more expressive about the development of WSM.
We made a very bold statement “unless it is erotic and has sex appeal then it is not worth publishing”.
We conclude with the news of the recruitment of Custard Couple (CC) who have made such a dramatic impact on WSM.
Part 2 of ABOUT US informs us that in 2011 WSM added either a new movie or image set per week.
That is why we grew so quickly, but this was expensive.
We started to offer Downloads.
But it was not until August 2012 that we added our 1st XXX movie and image set.
And WSM showed our concern for privacy by putting our policy in writing.
Part 3 of ABOUT US defined what Members of WSM would receive, with details of:

Movies
Membership Cost
Good grief! I see I described myself as a grandfather of WAM back then in October 2011.
No, I am not a great-grandfather yet, but certainly an older grandfather!
We were updating weekly and show page 1 from WHAT’S NEW for 2nd December 2011.
The Wetlook set W239 features Dee in her red silk pyjamas.
This image set W239 plus the associated movie WSM046 were last updated on our weekly review for 26th July 2019.
You can page back under ‘What’s New’ on our current website Home Page under https://www.wsmprod.com to see the 5 pics and a single movie Clip (it took me 15 clicks).
Finally, we look at the final page from WHAT’S NEW for 2nd December 2011.
At this stage we were still not making Online Sales.
You see our weekly forward programme confirming that we did update weekly.
Finally, we see the SMILES SECTION (which ran from 11th December 2009 until 30th December 2011) which shows that we did try various forms of entertainment to encourage interest.
But looking at the end of that page the sun was arising on WSM!

ADVANCE NOTICE OF NEW DOWNLOAD STORE AND SUBSCRIPTION ADDITIONS
11th Dec Now this will get you in the Xmas mood.
We have Santa and a beautiful Angel.
Slapstick movie CC80 is titled “Santa empties his sack” (of foodstuffs of course!)
Alternatively movie XXX027 shows how a bad Santa takes advantage of a bad Angel.
18th Dec After 2 years we look again at 36 minute XXX movie XXX079 as Mrs. CC makes an unforgettable Xmas cake. Plus there are 139 images in set S476XXX.
25th Dec Let us celebrate the 12 WSM Days of Xmas with 89 minute movie and 650 associated images. Yes, I’m dreaming of a WSM Xmas!
2nd Jan We start the New Year with a new movie. In movie WSM238 we see mature brunette Dee in sliding yogurt play outdoors, plus image set S435.
9th Jan We present the 2020 WSM AWARDS for best movies for WET, SLAPSTICK, MUDDY FUN and XXX.
16th Jan We review again a more unusual and risqué Custard Couple (CC) movie CC122 ‘Caught by the Wife,’ which runs 20 mins, or as an XXX movie XXX052 with a further 8 mins Stream, so totalling 28 mins – plus associated image sets S406 with 60 shots and S406XXX with 52 shots.
Still on the horizon we have Mrs. CC pushing the boundaries getting messy in a manure dump!
