Today is WSM’s Birthday!
WSM celebrates 34 years of continuous trading
We are the oldest WAM business in the world!

When did WSM Productions commence?
It started under the name of WET SHOTS just selling slide sets.
John Swindail from Stoke-on-Trent and Mike Ellison entered into a partnership from 1st October 1981.
The first retail sale of £63.03 was banked 3rd December 1981 at Barclays Bank, 36 Town Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
And did the world embrace this new concept of slide images?
With sales of £6,170 to 30th September 1982, in a world without any internet……I would say they did!
So our birth date is 3rd December 1981.
By 1984 we had changed our name to WSM Productions.
And today sees 34 continuous years of trading for WSM Productions.

Our first movie started filming 18th August 1985.
The result was the first commercially produced WAM video.
This was ‘The Hopeful Starlet’which is still available in the ‘Online Store’ under Digital Download – Vintage Films (Vintage Film 1).
You wish to know how the WAM movie business commenced? Well here it is!

WSM Productions has changed over the last 12 months moving from a Subscription based website to a Download website.
Why did that happen.
Customers indicated their choice for Downloads rather than Subscriptions.
Crazy to me (Mike Ellison), but figures represent reality and the Subscription site did go into decline.
The change from Subscription to Downloads was followed by the sale of the business in July 2015.
Mike Ellison still writes this weekly column because he enjoys it and also needs to eliminate debt.
But in case you wonder what may happen should Mike Ellison be unable to continue, a writing successor has already been named to our principal.

We took stock recently and have:
36 WSM movies unpublished
2 Vintage WSM movies unpublished
1 WSM XXX movie unpublished.
In addition we have a commitment to process and publish:
Approx 33 Custard Couple (CC) movies
Approx 10 CC XXX movies
So does that answer your question about our future?
And who else bothers to publish a forward program of 6 weeks?
But we are only as good as our customer orders.

WSM Productions has been preserved for posterity.
Being available is one thing.
Being in demand and receiving orders is quite another.

But today to celebrate our 34th Birthday, we publish a selection of Before and After shots from our published sets, naturally in the order of W,S then M.

The Irish Sea is chilly even on the warmest of days.
So how do you shoot a Wetlook movie in full wedding dress regalia on a public beach?
Only by showing true grit and beating the onlookers with an early start.
This movie was completed by 8.10am.
But does Mrs. CC show any fear and cold………of course not!
She starts by talking us through her full length wedding dress.
We see her white stockings and heels (that remain on through this shoot).
There is nothing like the roar of the sea, crash of the waves and ripple of the surf.
Mrs. CC sits on a chair. We marvel at her stockings and sheer net knickers.
Leaning back, her hair touches the water, but she stretches too far – see CLIP 1.

Then it is into the sea and the surf on a calm summers day.
We see her pale blue knickers and white suspender belt.
Mrs. CC kneels then lies in the crashing waves.
This is fully clothed wet play. She gets fully submerged by the sea and is carried to the shoreline by the waves.
Mrs. CC gets up and walks out further into the sea.
After some play she heads out of the water as Stream 1 ends.

Stream 2 opens with Mrs. CC lying in the shallows enjoying the wet experience in her wedding dress. We are very up-close and feel we are there on the beach with her.
Now here is a woman who really enjoys getting wet, and it shows.
There are some terrific shots in the shallow surf.
What an invigorating tonic this is (for us all!)
There is something here for everyone who likes wet clothed women!
Mrs. CC ventures into the bigger waves only to be swept over.
She goes for an impromptu swim, being buffeted by the surf.
She returns to the shallows in a crescendo of noise.
After 7 mins 25 secs she removes her dress and then lies in the surf – see Clip 2.

Mrs. CC shows plenty of movement and super stretching exercises.
She exits the sea (9 mins 57 secs) and strides onto the sandy beach as the wind ripples its approval.
After 10 mins 25 secs, she removes her bra for some topless shots and poses (which is always difficult on a public beach).
With Mr. CC on camera, this is yet another wet classic of couple wet fun.

Mrs. CC’s advice on what to do with an old Wedding Dress is ‘Wet it! Mess it! Destroy it!’

We have 3 further image sets from WSM’s earliest times from Jane who was always up for a shoot, yet extremely careful with the clothes and detail.
Going back to the 70’s, we feature two small Image sets of JANE with 3 sets of sample shots:
Firstly, she takes an early morning shower and bath still in her white silk pyjamas – set W002 shot 1979 with 21 images. Both Jane and the wet silk are delightful.
And secondly, dressed for an evening out in her red evening dress with long black elbow length gloves, Jane loses an earring in the bath – and gets very wet retrieving it! – set W003 shot 1979 with 28 images.
Aaarrhh, simple ideas simply expressed with great results.
I wrote the script and JANE was the enthusiastic model, aided by her photographer Derek.

Jane seeks out the freshest water from the small river in our WSM Girl Guide set with fully authentic uniform.
